When people first suggested that I write a book with this in mind, I wasn’t sure, especially given mixed reactions that my online profile can attract. But the more I thought about it, the more I could see the potential and value in sharing my lessons I have learning from my own experiences in a book rather than online in snippets. It would give me a chance to put everything in one easy to view place and hopefully reach more people in a different way. My title Brave, Beautiful and Baring it All is about wanting to see us humans go through life feeling both as brave and as beautiful as possible, knowing that there is no need to be afraid of being real and baring it all, by which I mean finding strength to be the most authentic version of yourself, whatever others may thing.

All Bodies are equal
If we can shift the conversation away from what we think is wrong in ourselves to what is right in us and what is wrong in the way society treats us, we may just encourage people to start celebrating every body for the unique beauty no matter what size, shape, colour, age ethnicity or physical ability.

We live in a world where we constantly feel judged in all sorts of ways, whether for our school grades, our performance at work, our social interactions, our appearances, our fitness levels and all else. But what does all this judgment serve other than ultimately making some people feel temporarily good about themselves and a lot of other people feel bad or not enough? Do we really need to spend our precious life judging, criticising and shaming ourselves and others?
